Picked up on your blog whilst reading a comment on another blog. (mike's journal). I'm in the U.K. and also cycle/run, competing in duathlons etc. I enjoy reading other similar minded peoples blogs, especially in the US. It would appear you are much better set up for these events than we are here. Duathlons are few and far between here, often quite small numbers participate, as few as 30 at some events. And i don't like coming last! When there's a few hundered competeing, i might stand a better chance. My question is; who's greg? and reading your blog, you are not new to tri, just to the iron-man? I'm sure if i read through again i could find the answers. So other people do read blogs and are interested. Or maybe i'm odd. Good luck. Rich.
Thank you for the nice comment. Between my wife and I we have lost over 320 pounds combined. It was NOT EASY. Changing our eating habits has been the hardest. People like yourself inspire us to keep going and keep the weight off by training for triathlons and duathlons and running. You keep up the good work and Nice blog by the way.
After countless hours and miles of training, I did it! And I truly surprised myself. 15:09 and one of the biggest accomplishments of my life! Now what?
My husband says I think too much. But when you swim, bike, and run as slow as I do--You have a lot of time to think! And... You're late for everything. Here's life from the perspective of a midwest transplant to Colorado, living in suburbia, teaching in suburbia, and training for the event of a lifetime--Ironman.
